Surveys

There is no denying the fact that there are students in our classrooms who feel underrepresented. This is important to recognize as an educator in Southern Alberta, especially. Day by day, Alberta is becoming more and more diverse, and we need to be fully prepared to support these underrepresented students just as we support anyone else. Let us not only accommodate for these students, as this makes it sound as though their needs are a burden on our system. Let us change the system, not the kids. The surveys are a tool for teachers or administrators to use to help identify racial microaggressions underrepresented students in your school face, but also to help teachers and school staff reflect on how well they are aiding these students. The survey is meant to be administered before utilizing any other resources on this website. The Surveys have been translated into multiple languages to increase validity and reliability of responses.

The staff survey can either be administered to teachers by administrators, or can be used as a self-reflection tool.
